How I started this journey ...


Started in 2012 when I passionately and creatively planned my own 122 person wedding for $7,892 dollars. I helped several friends with their weddings during the same time based on tried and true project planning methods and templates, which turned into several referrals for others events, and organically grew to an event planning business that listens, plans, and focus on how you want to FEEL during your event. I actively ensure your special occasion allows you the opportunity to experience everything you envision.


Pomegranate Occasions started on November 4th 2011, the day our founder, Tawni Janvrin got engaged.

She was never the girl that dreamed of her wedding day. In fact, she told the man of my dreams (now husband), “I don’t get marriage; it’s just a piece of paper and an overpriced party!” But there she was, beaming from a pretty little ring slid onto my finger and a handsome, charming man down on one knee. My heart swelled and my head …..

started planning.


Planning is our superpower

Tawni is a former Project Manager with over 15 years, she was compelled to plan her own wedding. With a powerful spreadsheet and vibrant venue schematics, hand designed invites and communication plans, she planned every wedding detail and fell in love with the process and industry.

She eagerly helped her engaged friends with the planning details of their weddings, this led to referrals, which led to more referrals, and before she knew it, she organically had a wedding planning business that let her help couples in love in the most amazing way she knew how.


So how do we do it?

Our approach is to focus first on how you (the happy couple) want to feel during each portion of your very important day. We guide you through visualization of your special day segment by segment. We discuss questions like:

How do you want to feel when you wake up? Where would you like to be? How would you like to spend your precious morning? Who / what would you like to be surrounded by?

How do you want to feel special or pampered on your special day? What will make you feel beautiful or loved?

How would you like to experience the first time you see your love? How would you like to be surrounded? What will make it special?

Who would you like to witness and take part in your union? How would you like to experience that? What thoughts and emotions would you like to feel?

How would you like to celebrate your union? What special, unique, personal items would you like to cultivate so you can cherish them for a lifetime?

These questions are critical for you to reflect on to treasure each moment of your day, and they are critical to us because we thrive on building a meaningful relationship with you and executing on your wishes, desires, and vision. A mutual understanding of what you wish to experience let’s us serve you effectively and makes it fun to do so.

After understanding the feelings, emotions, and moments you want to treasure, we add the venues, vendors, design, and decor so that you experience everything you wish; (within the budget you prioritize and determine).  

Our process is streamlined. Armed with a tried and tested wedding template, we guide you through every detail that you need to organize and manage your wedding day. With a database of industry vendors and venues, I save you hours of research and analysis paralysis.


Our dream wedding is a wedding that is focused on sharing the love that the couple has with those that mean the most to them. We respect each unique budget and cherish when my clients add their creative style to a day that is meant to be all about them.
